Scripts For Sale "Ligeia" by Edgar Allen Poe Adapted for radio by D. Chapelle The story begins with a narrator, who tells us about Ligeia, his love for her, her beauty and her family history. They become married and after a long period of married bliss, Ligeia dies. The narrator leaves for England, where he moves into an old abbey. Having inherited Ligeia's fortune, he's become quite rich and soon takes a new wife, Lady Rowena Trevanion, of Tremaine. After a short while, she also perishes and becomes transformed into Ligeia, or at least that is what the opium-induced mind of the narrator implies.
